About Kimberly

Kim discovered her love for yoga back in March 2016. She played sports like volleyball and futsal during her university days but didn’t continue the sports when she started working in the corporate world. She loved her first yoga class very much and found something that she can stick to that made her feel good. As she keeps coming back to her yoga mat, the more that she feels the benefits of her yoga practice. She started learning more about yoga by going to different yoga studios and meeting like-minded people who wants a more mindful way of living off the yoga mat. She started getting deeper in her practice and went for Reiki 1 and pranayama certifications in Manila to incorporate to her yoga practice.

After getting burnt out at some point in her career, she took a break and impulsively signed for a 200-HR Yoga Teacher Training back in October 2019 held in Mana Yoga Retreat in Lombok, Indonesia. Here she met yogis from all over the world and turned to be close and good friends with them. This is also where she met her co-founder for this social platform, Meraki Bali, for small businesses promoting sustainability and mindful living. Kim is happy to have envisioned and start Meraki to share different causes she believes in, as well as to share how yoga and meditation helped her go through life’s curve balls and also appreciate the fulfillment of what you can do and what life has to offer.

About Beverly

Burnout and depression first led Beverly to Bali and yoga. She had visited previously and been practicing hot yoga through her years in Shanghai and corporate real estate but it was in 2013 when she went to Bali to do a yoga teacher training to heal that her spiritual path began. Over the last 7 years while navigating a new way of life, she experienced depression several times and it was through these battles with the darkness that she discovered Ayurveda, nutrition, surfing, meditation, community and Veganism. All these ‘tools of Light’ continue to stay an important part of her wellness lifestyle to stay balanced and to thrive. Meraki is a culmination of the desire to utilize her experience and strengths from her corporate and cosmopolitan background to help spread the causes of the Bali-based brands that she loves dearly. She understands the desire to feel needed and to help is a universal one and strives to bridge the Spiritual and Material world for more equality, balance and happiness.
